Theebine school prepares to celebrate special milestone

ALL roads lead to Theebine State School on Saturday as it celebrates 125 years of education in the district.

Students, staff, parents and people in the community have been busy, preparing for the milestone event.

Past students, staff and families from across Australia will be attending, including one past student from Warrnambool in Victoria.

There will be plenty to talk about as people view displays and reflect on education system changes over the years.

Theebine students have been working together on a painting of the school which will be unveiled by MP Anne Maddern on the day.

Memorabilia will be on display and a time capsule, buried at the centenary celebration in 1989 will be there for all to see.

The celebration starts at 11am with a barbecue lunch and other entertainment.
