Holiday-maker chases thief up a tree in Hervey Bay

A HOLIDAY-maker chased a thief up a tree after finding him in his unit on Saturday.

The man and his wife had found the offender in their Torquay Tce unit and their binoculars missing.

When the man followed the thief, he found him up a tree.

The thief then climbed down and fled.

The dog squad was called but the young, 5ft10 male of Aboriginal appearance, could not be found.
