Thieves' new PC only works at school

CENTRAL State School administration building was targeted in the early hours yesterday by determined thieves.

A school's laptop valued at $1200 was stolen and there was an estimated $1000 damage to the building.

Teacher Brad Ross said the laptop would be no good to the thieves.

“All school laptops have passwords and are useless unless connected to the school network,” he said.

“We are very upset about the break-in and loss of equipment.”

The theft is believed to have happened about 1am yesterday.

It has been reported to Maryborough police.

“It is just a senseless attack on the school,” Mr Ross said.

“Disgraceful.”
