A fundraising concert is on the list of things to do


When: Sunday, February 10, 2pm

Where: Brolga Theatre, Maryborough

What: A variety concert will be staged to raise funds to help Fraser Coast flood and storm victims get back on their feet.

Tickets can be bought from the Brolga, Hervey Bay Boat Club, Torquay Post Office and the Hervey Bay Community Centre.

Confirmed acts at this stage include the Fabulous Women's Choir, Fraser Coast Choruses, Mansong, Mojo, Seabelles, Soundwaves, Stage Rats and Allsorts, with other performers currently confirming their availability.

When: Saturday, February 9, 8am to 1pm

Where: Torquay Esplanade, Hervey Bay

What: Enjoy a day out and about at the Torquay markets, filled with beautiful arts and crafts stalls, along with some great retail outlets. Buy your fresh fruit and vegetables or enjoy a sausage sizzle, ice-cream and fresh fruit delights. The young ones can enjoy a jumping castle and face painting. Entertainment is provided by a talented young local duo.

Where: John Paul Centre and CWA Hall

What: The Hervey Bay Bootscooters host basic dancing from 8.30 to 10.30am and intermediate dancing from 10.30 to 11.30am at the CWA Hall, Pulgul St, Urangan.

Pure beginners can take part in introduction classes at the John Paul Centre, Hillyard St, Pialba, from 7 to 8pm and basic early intermediate from 8 to 9pm.

Raw beginners is also held at the John Paul Centre each Friday, from 8.30 to 9.30am and basic improvers from 9.30 to 11.30am.
