Third arrest over murder

A THIRD person has been arrested and will appear in court today charged with the murder of missing Maryborough man Noel Allan Clark.

The latest suspect, a 30-year-old man, was charged on Saturday and will front the Gympie Magistrates Court this morning.

Graeme Kenneth Wright, 41, and a 30-year-old Maryborough woman have also been arrested for the murder of Mr Clark, 33.

Wright, of no fixed address, was found hiding out in Warwick last Thursday. He appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Friday and was remanded in custody to January 18.

Meanwhile, Queensland police will travel to Armidale, New South Wales, this week to seek the extradition of the Maryborough woman.

The woman was arrested on Thursday and will appear in the Armidale Magistrates Court today.

It is expected she will be charged with murder and interfering with a corpse when she returns to Queensland.

Police are yet to find Mr Clark’s body. Yesterday they were unwilling to reveal where the search is taking place.

Mr Clark was last seen at the old Centrelink office on Ellena Street in Maryborough on May 25.

However, it was not until two months later that relatives reported him missing to police.
