Three car smash on Gympie Rd

TWO people have been injured in a three-car crash on Gympie Rd at Maryborough.

A young girl, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, was taken to hospital with minor injuries following the crash, which occurred near Ned Kelly's Motel about 3.30pm on Monday.

The 23-year-old driver of a Toyota Celica was also transported to hospital by ambulance.

His vehicle is believed to have collided with a Mitsubishi Magna before being pushed into the path of an oncoming Holden Colorado.

Police divereted southbound traffic until the road was cleared.
