Tin Can Bay boat ramp has wash-down taps again

WASH-down taps have been returned to the Tin Can Bay boat ramp and more than $3000 of works will be undertaken to improve amenities in the area.

The wash-down taps were removed in July due to a lack of adequate drainage causing water and mud to build up.

Gympie councillor Mark McDonald said the council recognised the importance of the boat wash-down facility at Tin Can Bay for tourism and boat users and negotiated a solution with the Department of Transport and Main Roads.
