Tinana lights on drawing board

LONG and frustrating traffic delays at the intersection of Gympie and Woongool roads may soon be a thing of the past.

The Department of Transport and Main Roads has confirmed the busy Tinana t-intersection, used heavily during peak-hour traffic, was one of many that were currently being looked at for traffic signals.

According to a spokesperson the department’s engineers were investigating the “feasibility of possible design layouts for the intersection”.

“The Department of Transport and Main Roads is investing in the road network and actively planning to meet the needs of the city’s urban traffic growth.”
