Tired Doon Villa outfit belted by Brothers Aston Villa

TWO games in three nights left Doon Villa battered, bruised, and on the wrong end of an embarrassing FFA Cup scoreline.

The Magpies played through extra time in their FFA Cup win over United Park Eagles three weeks ago, then needed penalties to beat United Warriors at home on Thursday night.

Tight scheduling meant they had to travel to Bundaberg on Saturday to face Brothers Aston Villa, one of the competition's toughest assignments with a full-strength side.

Doon Villa coach Lachlan Kenny said his team lost a number of players to injury before and during the clash.

"A lot of the boys are carrying injuries," he said.

"We started well, but they got a penalty straight away which didn't help.

"It was pretty rough having to back up."

Brothers Aston Villa won 9-0, and will face a Sunshine Coast team.
