Dundowran Beach

THIS village continues to remain the coastal place of choice for many local home owners, especially considering its current $450-a-week rental return. Given the beautiful beach, access to minimum quarter acre blocks and some stunning and well designed homes, it is no   wonder this continues to be popular. REIQ CEO Antonia Mercorella reports steady sales volumes in the unit market on the Fraser Coast.

Eli Waters

CONSIDERED both a residential and retail suburb, Eli Waters is well situated on Eli Creek, a protected tidal canal with easy access to the Bay. When the new shopping centre opened at Eli Waters in 2007 it seemed to go hand in hand with many of the new housing developments and offered the suburb greater exposure - it's the first neighbourhood centre people see as they enter Hervey Bay.

Craignish

OCEAN views - check. Sea breezes - check. Craignish is one of those areas that allow real estate investors to tick plenty of boxes, and you can add stunning homes to the list. There is also a mixture of older-style coastal properties, but Craignish continues to achieve property prices over $600,000, especially in streets such as Straits Outlook which have gently sloping blocks with views.
