Award winning Hervey Bay builders Bungalow Homes have been voted by our reader's as the best builder on the Fraser Coast.

A shout out on Facebook revealed the popular builders owned by Angela and Ross Scott to be the favourite. 

Rob Joanne Walter voted for Bungalow for their great ideas and because they were up to date with the latest trends and products as well as their professional approach. 

Karen Hensel is having her home built by Bungalow at the moment.

"I can honestly say it has been stress free all the way," she said. 

Angela and Ross thanked the strong community support.

"We thank the community for their votes and recognising us...our hard work is paying off," Angela said. 

With about 10 homes on the go at the moment, Angela and Ross pride themselves on creating custom built houses.

"We want to make sure the houses are right and we analyse the block, taking the time to sit with the customer to ensure we create exactly what they want," she said. 

"We don't have standard designs.

"We work with their budget and then mould the house to fit around their budget and needs," she said. 

The company has been up and running for the past 11 years.

2. B & K HELMSTEDT PTY LTD 

Bruce and Kathryn Helmstedt started the company since 1991. 

Bruce has been a carpenter his whole life and he loves what he does, coming from a family of builders.

The couple wish to thank the community for their strong support.

They have recently moved from Maryborough to Hervey Bay, but are still building strong.

"Bruce commutes to Maryborough every day for work as well as work from Hervey Bay," Kathryn said.

Kathryn said Bruce is currently doing a lot renovation work in residential homes as well as new construction.
