Top job’s one you love

SPRINGING out of bed at 5am each day for a quick bowl of Fruit Loops and coffee, breakfast radio presenter Davina Ebenezer claims to have the best job in town.

She's an 101.9 Sea FM announcer on air from 6am weekdays.

Despite starting before sun-up, Ms Ebenezer has entered the Fraser Coast Chronicle's Best Job in Town competition with the view that having the best job is to love what you do.

"I think it doesn't matter what job you're in," she said.

"If you love it - it's not a job."

Ms Ebenezer said some of the perks of working in morning radio were the freedom to wear slippers all day and daily conversations with the community.

"Another great part of my job is finishing early and heading home for a nanna nap," she said.

"To top it off, I listen to music all day everyday. That's my job."

The competition is part of a celebration to launch the Chronicle's new Jobs portal with a $1000 Flight Centre voucher for the winner.
