Top rated French flick to screen at Brolga

THE Maryborough Regional Arts Council's will host the screening of their monthly movie at the Brolga on July 11.

The French title Things To Come was given a 100% rating by Rotten Tomatoes, is an American review- aggregation website for film and television.

What happens when the life you've worked to hard to build falls apart?

Things To Come was a soul-searching look at what it means to create a life of one's own.

Oscar nominee Isabelle Huppert, portrays Nathalie, a philosophy teacher juggling a rich life of the mind with the day-to-days demands of career and family, which includes frequent visits to her drama queen mother.

But with the bombshell revelation that her husband of 25 years is leaving her, Nathalie finds herself adrift, but also with a newfound sense of liberation.

With nothing to hold her back Nathalie sets out to define this new phase of her life and to rediscover herself. Things To Come will screen on Wednesday, July 11 at 6.30pm in the Federation Room, Brolga Theatre, Walker St, Maryborough.

Cost was Arts Council members $10 and non members $12 and includes refreshments following the screening.
