Tourism on the menu

TOURISM Fraser Coast and the Hervey Bay and Maryborough chambers of commerce will host two guest speakers this month.

State Minister for Tourism, Manufacturing and Small Business Jan Jarratt will join entrepreneur Tom O'Toole as speakers at the Tourism Fraser Coast Industry Forum next week.

Mr O'Toole, founder of the Beechworth Bakery, will also speak at a joint breakfast between the chambers of commerce at the Brolga Theatre on June 22.

Beechworth Bakery was founded from one small bakery in the small Victorian town of Beechworth and now has an annual turnover of $12 million with several locations across Victoria.

Mr O’Toole uses his website http://www.timotoole.com.au and his role as a motivational speaker to teach business owners about success in rural and regional areas.

Minister for Tourism Jan Jarrat will appear at the forum to speak on digital marketing, tourism trend, tourism initiatives, economic development and investment alongside other industry experts.

The tourism industry forum is now in its fifth year and will be held at Peppers Pier Resort on June 21.

Email secretary@maryboroughchamberqld.com.au to secure a spot at the breakfast.
