Remembering Drew Gollan, six years after his death
SIX years after Drew Gollan was murdered in Antigua, his life has been remembered at a ceremony at Great Sandy Strait Marina.
A memorial plaque was placed along the boardwalk at Urangan Harbour on the weekend, just metres from the whale watching vessels Drew once worked on.
The Hervey Bay man was shot dead while holidaying in Antigua with his partner and daughter in January, 2009.
He died protecting his partner from the man who was attempting to rob them.
His sister Nina Gollan wrote of his courage and the enduring love the family had for him on a Facebook page set up in his memory.
