About 4.15am Hervey Bay Water Police received reports that the 20-metre vessel had come ashore 3.5km north of Yidney Rocks on the eastern side of the island.

Four fishermen on board were able to anchor the trawler before being taken to the Happy Valley ambulance station for check-ups.
