'Treat mum with some bling or she may have a fling'

A SITE which caters for adults wanting to have affairs or a 'discrete' fling says it is gearing up for one of its busiest days of the year after Mother's Day.

VictoriaMilan.com.au promoters say thousands of neglected Australian mums are expected seek post-Mother's Day affairs after having their hearts broken this Sunday.

The site claims it has even hired extra staff to deal with what it expects will be a significant post-Mother's Day spike in Australian female memberships.

Victoria Milan says a survey of 1,000 Australian found that nearly half (47.4%) of Australians mums who were in relationships on Mother's Day 2012 were not made to feel special by their partners.

But some blokes have questioned the need to treat their wives to something special, saying its up to the children, not them, to make mums feel special.

"You're not my mum,'' one bloke is known to say often.

According to the survey, Victorian-based mums were the least appreciated with 62.3% not feeling the love.

However, almost 95% of those who were treated to some loving were confident they would receive the same again  on Sunday.

"The day after Mother's Day is our second busiest day for female memberships overseas - the day after Valentine's Day is the busiest - and there's data to suggest Australia is going to be the same now we're operational here," said Sigurd Vedal, founder of the site.

"Women cheat for different reasons than men. Whereas men are usually looking for sex, women tend to seek attention.

"Mother's Day is a tipping point, with its events either failing to meet expectations or continuing a cycle of neglect," added Mr Vedal.

Founded in Norway in 2010, Victoria Milan has more than 2,000,000 members in 19 countries.
