Two children missing from Emerald found safe in Gympie

UPDATE, 1.45PM: Police have located the seven-year-old girl and six-year-old boy who were missing from Emerald.

Police would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance.

They have been located safe and well in the Gympie area.

THE Queensland Police Service is seeking urgent public assistance to help locate two children who are missing from Emerald around 6.30pm yesterday and who may be at significant risk.

A seven-year-old girl and a six-year-old boy are believed to be travelling in a car with a 30-year-old man, Shea Lum.

The man is known to the children.

He is described as Pacific Islander in appearance, about 166cm tall with short black hair and brown eyes.

The girl is described as Pacific Islander in appearance, a medium build, around 100 centimetres tall with brown eyes and black hair.

The boy is described as Pacific Islander in appearance, 90 centimetres, slim build, black hair, brown eyes.

They are travelling in a blue 2007 Holden Barina and were last seen travelling east on the Capricorn Highway at Emerald.
