Case of man who allegedly crashed on Torquay Rd adjourned

UPDATE: The case of a man who allegedly crashed into a parked car, injuring two people has been adjourned.

Gerald Francis Brady faced charges of dangerous operation of a vehicle and driving while adversely affected by an intoxicating substance.

He will appear in court again on Wednesday.

A police spokeswoman said a woman standing next to the parked car was flung into the air and hit the bonnet.

EARLIER: A man has been charged after he allegedly crashed into a parked car on Torquay Rd on Monday night.

Hervey Bay Police said the incident happened about 7pm.

Two people standing near the parked car were taken to Hervey Bay Hospital but were later discharged.

The man has been charged with dangerous driving and driving under the influence.

He is due to face the Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
