Tyler Simpson's 82 lifts Tinana past Grammars
TYLER Simpson's half century and three-wicket haul led Tinana to a memorable victory over Past Grammars on Saturday.
Simpson struck 82 while Corey Mellor scored 33 as Tinana were bowled out for 180 in the last over.
A 66-run third-wicket partnership between Brad Mitchell and Andrew Ross put Past Grammars on the right track. They fell in quick succession, but it wasn't until Simpson (pictured) dismissed Paul Sanders for 17 that Tinana took control.
Grammars slumped from 5-124 to 7-131, then lost the final three wickets for 12 runs to be all out for 165.
Half centuries to Laird McKay (68) and Wayne Smith (50) led Brothers Shamrocks to a 102-run win against Ausrocks. Angus Stewart took 3-27 from his eight overs, while Smith took 2-16 from six overs to steer Shamrocks to victory.
