Gallery displays artist's photos

A BEAUTIFUL collection of moving, moody photos is on display at the Hervey Bay Regional Gallery.

The collection comprises stunning images of the environment of south-east Queensland by Fraser Coast artist Robert Barich.

Mr Barich, whose career as a professional photographer and photojournalist has spanned 27 years, pushes the boundaries of photography as art in his exhibition, using tonal painting methods to creatively enhance his black and white silver gelatin photos.

The results are both unique and distinctive.

Visitors are invited to use the hand-held torches available at reception to explore the fascinating colours and details in Mr Barich’s photographs fully.

The exhibition will be on display until February 6.
