‘UNO’ house for the price of a deck of cards
There are just three days left to spend a UNO night in a hinterland house literally dedicated to the popular family game.
Filled with Draw 4 pillows, UNO-themed throws and exclusive UNO pyjamas, The House of UNO in Maleny is any competitive family’s dream.
As part of a partnership between toy giant Matell and online holiday booking service booking.com, you can book a night for the price of a deck of cards.
Elevated in the treetops, it offers families a digital detox getaway to switch off and connect with a bit of friendly boardgame rivalry.
Psychotherapist Georgina Manning said non-digital gameplay was a powerful tool to switch off, unwind and connect with family and friends.
The house is one of Booking.com’s top Sunshine Coast properties.
It is one of three boardgame themed getaways.
Pictionary Palace and Scrabble Shack are in the Blue Mountains, NSW.
The destinations chosen for the getaways reflect locations where Aussies have flocked to when rediscovering domestic travel in the past months.
According to Booking.com, the broader Sunshine Coast has been standout destinations for the past three months.
It is trending at number four on the site’s top searched Queensland destinations.
Booking.com Australia area manager Luke Wilson said holiday homes and bush getaways have seen search increases on the site.
“With these unique UNO, Pictionary and Scrabble homes, we’re encouraging Australians to rediscover this great country, while reconnecting with family and friends through game play,” he said.
Bookings are available until October 29 at $10 per night.
