UPDATE:Man who died in crash south of Miriam Vale identified

UPDATE:

A 71-YEAR-OLD man who died in a single-vehicle crash south of Miriamvale yesterday has been identified by police as Mackay local Christopher Hazell.

The crash happened 30km south of the town on the Bruce Hwy at 1.15pm, near Colosseum.

At this point police are unable to determine what caused Mr Hazell to crash but preliminary investigations revealed that Mr Hazell's car had left the road on the left hand side before exiting and rolling over once on the right hand side of the road.

Mr Hazell was alive when police attended the incident. 

 

YESTERDAY:

A 71-YEAR-OLD man has died in a single-vehicle crash south of Miriamvale.

The crash happened 30km south of the town on the Bruce Hwy at 1.15pm, near Colosseum.

The man was trapped inside his car after the car rolled over.

The car ended up 10m off the road.

Police have identified the man but have been unable to notify the next kin.

All emergency services attended the scene.
