Updated pension guide to help navigate entitlements

PENSIONERS now have an easy guide to help understand their entitlements after Deputy Prime Minister and Member for Wide Bay Warren Truss released an updated edition of his Age Pension Guide.

"The Age Pension rules can be confusing and complicated for many people. This guide is designed in an easy to use format to help pensioners understand their entitlements," Mr Truss said.

"It also reassures pensioners that the Age Pension will continue to increase twice per year, as it has done in the past when payment rates are updated on the 20th March and 20th of September. Pensioners are also better off because they continue to receive the carbon tax compensation even though Labor's Carbon Tax has been abolished - saving the average household $550 a year."

The guide is available free of charge by phoning 1300 301 968 or visiting www.warrentruss.com.
