UPE dispatch Jets; will face Sunshine Coast in FFA Cup

UNITED Park Eagles are one step closer to a date with an A-League club.

UPE smashed Football Wide Bay rivals KSS Jets 4-0 in Hervey Bay, and will now travel to Kawana to face National Premier League side Sunshine Coast Fire.

Captain Jake Davis scored two goals for the visitors, including a first-half penalty which saw Jets goalkeeper Chris Merrison sent off.

UPE coach Joel Jamieson said his side still had plenty of room to improve while his Jets counterpart Phil Rimmer lamented his side's inability to play the full 90 minutes.
