Use your native forest for tree production

RURAL LAND owners can soon learn how their native forests could be used for tree production.

A free field day will be held on Saturday near Gin Gin for those interested to learn more.

Burnett Mary Regional Group project officer Ann McKenzie said topics including new legislation harvesting, marketing, fire management, weed control and combining forestry with grazing enterprise would also be covered.

The field day is at "Boomerang", Doughboy Rd, Doughboy. This is about 20 kilometres south west of Gin Gin.
