USQ to students go bald or bold for charity
MANY community-minded students at the University of Southern Queensland will shave or colour their hair this week as part of the university's health promotion fun day UFest.
USQ Vice-Chancellor Jan Thomas said Ufest facilitated student interaction with various components of health to enhance their overall wellbeing.
"This year UFest will feature The World's Greatest Shave which raises about half the money the Leukaemia Foundation needs to fund its vital work to help beat blood cancer," Professor Thomas said.
"In addition to the World's Greatest Shave, UFest will promote health and wellbeing through a number of interactive workshops and in collaboration with community health organisations."
