The site has been chosen for Australia's first wave garden.
The site has been chosen for Australia's first wave garden.

SOME surfers may say this is the end, others will be stoked.

URBN Surf the company behind the wave pool say the plans are DA approved and the site is set.

The wave pool will be built in Tullamarine, north of Melbourne Victoria.

While there have been other attempts to simulate the surfing experience in the past this is the first mechanical wave where the rider actually covers ground rather than standing still.

WSL surfer Taj Burrow has thrown his endorsement behind the project saying it will make going for a surf like going to the gym, only a whole lot more fun.
