Granville retirement village medicine going high-tech
A MARYBOROUGH retirement village is set to go high-tech with a new $150,000 medication management system.
Granville's Groundwater Lodge, home to 60 residents, will be one of five Prescare centres to introduce the electronic medication system.
Manager Stephen Leggett said tablet-style computers linked to each facility's medication management software would be installed on high-tech medication carts.
"The overall system will ensure our staff have more time to attend resident needs, enhance our rigorous
medication management processes and continue to improve on our already high levels of resident care," he said.
