Regional voters confident Abbott will get business moving

REGIONAL voters are confident the new Tony Abbott-led Federal Government will provide improved business conditions than those enjoyed under the previous ALP team.

Almost 2000 people across regional Queensland and New South Wales - including more than 100 Fraser Coast residents - took part in APN's online poll and were asked how optimistic they felt across a range of areas now there was a new government in place.

On the issue of business opportunities more than 25% were much more optimistic, with almost 70% saying they were at least as optimistic as they had been under the Kevin Rudd regime.

The confidence level was not as strong in other key areas.
