Walk through Scarness history with the heritage councillor

THE next event in George Seymour's Hervey Bay History Walking Tours series will be held in January at Scarness.

The tour, which starts at the Scarness Rotunda will cover a number of aspects of Scarness's history including the rise of caravanning, the interesting and varied businesses, the change in fashion of leisure activities, the famous swimming enclosure and larger-than-life personalities.

The tour is free and bookings are not required.

It will begin at 10am on January 23.
