Warm weekend expected on the Fraser Coast as showers ease

WE'RE in for a warm sunny weekend as the weather starts to clear up on the Fraser Coast.

A Bureau of Meteorology spokesman said there is a chance of a shower on Friday and a possible storm, but a lot weaker than the activity we've had over the past couple of days.

We can expect cooler than average temperatures on Friday before it starts to warm up.

Hervey Bay missed the bulk of the rain from the recent storms while Maryborough copped a drenching overnight Tuesday.

The surface trough carrying the heavier rainfall is headed as far north as St Lawrence and out west.
