COMBINING agriculture and tourism could be the new way Coast restaurant owner Julia Paussa attracts foodies to her business.

About 40 farmers, restaurant owners and marketing managers joined the food and agriculture tourism forum held yesterday at the Brolga Theatre from 2pm.

The forum was held to explore ways to expand the existing Relish banner to connect all aspects of agritourism together.

Ms Paussa said the forum was a chance to network with other people in the industry, and build on each other.

"Food tourism is huge right now," Ms Paussa said.

"People travel for authentic, regional food, and they want to tell everyone about it through social media."

The Relish banner already includes a monthly markets and food festival held in June.
