A REDBANK Plains man has been charged for dangerous driving and a number of other serious offences after allegedly reaching speeds of 182kmh on the Ipswich Motorway.

At about 10pm on Saturday night Polair 2 observed a vehicle driving at high speeds on the Gateway Motorway at Drewvale.

The vehicle was tracked to an address on Twidale Drive at Riverview where general duties officers, with the assistance of Polair 2, attended and took a man into custody.

A 30-year-old Redbank Plains man has been charged with one count each of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, driving without a license, driving an uninsured vehicle, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving a vehicle with incorrect number plates and possessing tainted property.

He is due to appear in Richlands Magistrates Court on May 3.
