Water limit lift is likely with Lenthalls Dam overflowing

WATER restrictions are likely to be lifted across the Fraser Coast early next week.

Wide Bay Water chief executive officer Peter Care said the restrictions had been reviewed as a result of heavy rainfall last week.

Lenthalls Dam, which is where Hervey Bay's water supply is drawn from, rose by more than 1.4m during the rainfall and is overflowing.

Level 2 water restrictions were put in place early March after one of the Fraser Coast's driest summers in several decades.
