Waterfront venue takes wedding award – again

HERVEY Bay's Waterfront Restaurant has been named as Queensland's number one venue to have a wedding reception for the third time in four years by the Australian Bridal Industry Association.

Wedding planner Natalie Wolff said the venue's success probably had a lot to do with its location and reputation.

"It's a family business," she said. "We're probably able to do that little bit more.

"We do all the decorating, couples are able to pick out what they want."

Not only was the restaurant the number one reception venue in Queensland, it also ranked third overall in Australia.

Ms Wolff said the acknowledgments and awards were a great reward for the long hours she and the rest of her team worked to ensure each wedding was a success.

"I'm in constant contact with all of my brides," she said.

"After all that hard work you put into the wedding it is a bit of a reward."
