WEATHER: Tips to keep warm as Coast temps take a drop

THE morning temps are cooling off as we start to experience the start of winter on the Fraser Coast, so we've shared some tips on keeping warm.

A reader poll reveals 29% of those who voted have an extra blanket at the end of the bed to pull up during the night, while 25% of respondents simply grab a cuppa to warm up in the morning.

Snuggling up in bed is another great one for keeping warm, but we better save that one for the weekends or the boss won't be too impressed.

No-one thought going for a morning run was the best way to warm up (and can you blame them, bed is a much better option).

Sleeping with a hot water bottle wasn't a popular option either.

Surprisingly no-one opted for a warm shower.

Another poll revealed mixed thoughts about the month of winter, with close to half of the respondents saying they were eager for winter to start.
