West Ipswich bomb accused to remain behind bars

THE man accused of creating the explosives that maimed an Ipswich teenager in May will remain behind bars for at least another month after he didn't apply for bail.

Glen Charles Dell, 43, today faced new charges at the Ipswich Magistrates Court of an offense in relation to unauthorised and prohibited explosives and carrying or placing a dangerous good in or on a vehicle.

He did not appear in court or appear over video link.

He is already facing charges for grievous bodily harm as well as producing dangerous drugs, possessing dangerous drugs, possessing utensils or pipes, attempts to destroyed property by explosives, manufacture explosives without authority, and acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm or transmit serious disease.

The matter was adjourned until September 4.
