SOME heavy rain has been reported across the Fraser Coast on Tuesday morning but the wet weather will be short lived with the Bureau of Meteorology predicting sunshine for the rest of the working week.

According to the Bureau, 18.2mm of rain fell in Maryborough between 7.30am and 9am on Tuesday morning while Hervey Bay recorded 6.8mm from 10pm on Monday to 9am on Tuesday.

On Tuesday morning, the Chronicle's Facebook followers reported thunder, lightning and rain in Maryborough, Aldershot and Torbanlea, two storms rolling through Urangan, rain at Pacific Haven, water tanks filling in Tinana, a steady downpour in Wondunna and good showers and thunder in Point Vernon.
