Wet weather wreaks havoc

Hervey Bay and Maryborough had some of the best rain in months with 100 millimeters being dumped on the Bay in the 24 hours to 9am and the Heritage City receiving 70mm in the same period.

Parts of some roads were submerged by floodwaters and the challenging conditions contributed to a number of minor accidents.

But meteorologists predict a return to fine, yet windy, weather in the days ahead.
