Can you predict the weather in 2040?

HOW timely it was for yesterday's time capsule to reveal the council at the time had predicted the presence of 20-storey buildings in Hervey Bay.

In my opinion, isn't it great that the 1990 prediction hadn't come true... yet?

I couldn't think of anything more out of place than 80 metres of concrete and steel in the sky.

But back to the time capsule, part of yesterday's ceremony involved burying a new one, set to be open in the not-so-distant future of 2040.

It got me thinking about what the Fraser Coast might look like in a quarter of a century.

Will the controversial sports precinct be a normal part of daily life for our sporting clubs?

Or will it be a long forgotten idea that never eventuated?

We will have to wait and see.

But until then I would love to hear from our readers their predictions for the Fraser Coast by 2040.

Send them through to me at jordan.philp@frasercoastchronicle.

com.au.

I can't promise I'll be working here in 2040, but it will be interesting to hear the different answers.
