Do you know the story of this old boat in the creek near Fixter Park at Toogom? Alistair Brightman

Can you solve the mystery of who owns this boat?

DID it wash up during the January storms and floods?

Or was it victim of another legendary storm?

The old wooden muddy boat sits idle in the Toogoom mangroves near Fixter Park, a popular sport for walkers.

A lot of regular walkers in Toogoom will recognise this stricken boat.

It is to the east of Goody's cafe, nestled softly in the water surrounded by mangroves.

The boat was previously a 4m runabout but is now an old ugly sight on the otherwise picturesque Toogoom foreshore.

The Chronicle would like to know the story of this damaged boat.
