Windy weather headed to Coast, with showers forecast for Bay

WITH any luck the cloudy weather we're having could turn to showers on Wednesday and for the rest of the week in Hervey Bay, while it's bluer skies expected for Maryborough.

Autumn temps are bringing tops of 28 degrees and minimums around the 17 degree mark on the Fraser Coast with showers expected to increase by Saturday, according to weatherzone.com

There is more of a chance of a shower for the Bay on Wednesday, while Maryborough is expecting a mostly sunny day.

WATCH: Get ready for a hot, dry autumn

For those heading out onto the waters, the weekend isn't expected to be the calmest with winds are expected to increase up to 32km/h on Sunday.

If you're going outdoors, remember to slip, slop, slap, with a high UV index in place until Saturday.
