Croquet club winners named

MARYBOROUGH’S Point Lookout croquet club held its presentation night and celebrated a great year last week.

The night was held at Maryborough RSL and everyone involved with the club had a ball.

As well as being an end of year event, division winners were also named on the night.

Jan Murdoch was named the division one winner.

Betty Lewis was the second division winner while Noel Dioth was the runner-up.

Dorothy Whelan was the winner of the third division and John Hajnal was the runner-up.

Donna Suter was the winner of the fourth division and Peggy Gibson was the runner-up.

Nev Nitz and Kath Clancy were the competition doubles winners.

Croquet will continue to be played at the club next year.

The Maryborough club is one of the oldest clubs in Queensland. It was officially formed in 1898.
