AUSTRALIAN hard rock band Wolfmother will perform at Pialba's Bay Central Tavern on June 6.
The enormously popular band formed in 2000 and found its way to fame in 2005 with the release of the single Woman, which won the band a Grammy Award for best hard rock performance in 2006.
The band released its self-titled debut album in October 2005, with it reaching No.3 on the Australian ARIA album charts.
In 2006, the group released another top hit, Joker and The Thief.
The song has been used in plenty of Hollywood films, including Shrek the Third, Here Comes the Boom, The Hangover and Jackass Number Two.
In March the band surprised fans with a new album release.
The album, titled New Crown, is the band's third album and got back to the basics of what the band does best.
The sound is similar to rock produced in the '60s and '70s, a vintage feel the band has always been good at.
Tickets to see Wolfmother's performance can be purchased from Ticketmaster or the venue.
Tickets are $30.
It will be restricted to those aged 18 and over.
Doors will open at 6.30pm.
