Woman allegedly bites two police officers at Mapleton

A MAPLETON woman has allegedly bit a male Senior Constable on the leg and a female Senior Constable on the chest when they attempted to take her into custody after a disturbance at an address on Jumper Court.

The two officers were called to the Mapleton property after reports of a disturbance. 

It will be alleged a 28-year-old woman responded violently to the officers' attempts to take her into custody and that she bit them both.

Both officers were transported to the Nambour Hospital for treatment of their injuries.

A 28-year-old Mapleton woman has been charged with two counts of serious assault police by biting causing bodily harm and one count each of obstruct police and wilful damage.

She is due to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court tomorrow.
