Woman allegedly spits at officer, charged with assault

A POLICE officer narrowly missed being spat on the face by a woman on Tuesday night.

Officers were taking the Maryborough woman to hospital on behalf of Queensland Ambulance Service when she allegedly became violent and verbally aggressive.

When they arrived at the hospital she allegedly spat towards the officer's face, narrowly missing it.

The 33-year-old has been charged with serious assault of a police officer and will face Maryborough Magistrates Court on March 12.
