Woman handed infringement notice for failing to give way

A FEMALE driver in her mid-50s has been issued with an infringement notice for failure to give way after her XR6 ute collided with a Subaru Forester on Saturday afternoon.

Hervey Bay police said no one was injured in the crash at the corner of Tavistock and Freshwater Sts but a toddler in one of the cars was taken to hospital for observation.

They are encouraging all drivers on the Fraser Coast to take care on the roads and drive to conditions during the Easter holiday break.
