Woman suffers suspected spinal injuries on Fraser tour bus
A WOMAN suffered suspected spinal injuries after a tour bus hit a rough patch on a track on Fraser Island on Thursday afternoon.
The woman and two children were airlifted off the island by RACQ Careflight helicopters.
RACQ CareFlight Rescue tasked both its Sunshine Coast and Bundaberg helicopters to Eurong on Fraser Island when the incident happened about 3.45pm.
A woman aged in her 30s was reportedly standing in the aisle of the tour bus when it hit a rough patch on the track and she was thrown onto two children who were seated on the bus.
The woman suffered suspected spinal injuries and was flown by CareFlight's Sunshine Coast helicopter to Nambour General Hospital.
The two children were treated for minor limb and facial injuries and flown by CareFlight's Bundaberg helicopter to Hervey Bay Hospital for observation.
All three patients travelled in a stable condition.
