Woman's lucky escape as car rolls into creek

A WOMAN was lucky to escape without major injuries after she lost control of the vehicle she was driving and ended up in a creek.

Maryborough Police Sergeant Steve Wheeler said the Toyota Prado she was driving was a write-off after it rolled into a creek Old Gayndah Rd north of Aramara.

The woman was taken to Hervey Bay Hospital with suspected head and neck injuries at 6.30pm on Tuesday.

"She was very fortunate," Sgt Wheeler said.
